We are currently hiring for a Head of Product Design and Research to cover a maternity leave on a fixed term contract for 9 months.
The role will be full time and report to the COO of this fantastic igaming company working with Casino and Sports Betting.
As a Head of Design – you will be the person who is responsible for the UX of all products and will be in charge of the Product Design Team and UX Research Teams activities from both Strategy and Research right through to Production.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the user experience and will have a very strong UX Vision to know how to inspire a user centric culture at company level and across the varying departments and teams with the expertise and experience of managing and coaching a team of talented Product Designers and UX Researchers who will follow your expertise and guidance and help them to maintain and improve the existing processes and tools needed to be successful in their discovery and delivery work.
Responsibilities:
- To mentor, coach and develop a team of UX Researchers and Product Designers at varying levels
- To work together with the team to continuously improve their ways of working and current processes in order to deliver meaningful and high quality UX outputs within reasonable time spans
- To be a thoughtful and empathic leader, who can inspire the teams and maintain and build a strong team culture that will enable a collaborative and open environment
- To work across the entire company with helping the business to understand the high-level end to end UX and to create a structured UX Strategy for each of the company’s products
- To build strong relationships and identify ways to collaborate with other departments involved in the UX – such as product, commercial, marketing, tech etc
- To report into the COO
Experience/ Qualifications:
- Strong management experience managing remote UX / Product Design / Research teams to bring them to outstanding levels of quality
- A proven background in Product Design and UX Research Management
- Experience of managing scrum teams in an agile environment
- A solid background in user centred design frameworks
- Experience within a wide range of ux research methods
- Experience of working closely with senior stakeholders on a daily basis
- Experience of influencing business strategy and collaborating with senior levels from other departments of the company
- Proven ability to create and grow products that address real user needs
- Strong background in solving pain points in a seamless way
- Strong and confident communicator who uses storytelling and visualisation to make complex problems easy to digest
- The expertise to help the business make user centric decisions based on data
