We have an exciting opportunity for a mid level Service Designer to join an international innovation consultancy and work on some exciting projects within a service design team.
You will have 2-3 years’ service design experience within a commercial environment and be passionate about service design and making a difference.
Responsibilities:
- To have experience working across different research methods to include in person and desktop research
- To structure research to reduce risk of any bias that could impact results
- To analyse the research and be able to uncover the end users needs and pain points turning this into a clear direction for the service design experience
- To help facilitate design thinking workshops with various business and technical groups which will cover the end to end design process from research /ideation /design and delivery
- To be responsible for the design and development of service concepts
- To provide practical insights and inform strategic direction to clients
- To work with the clients’ teams to make sure that key business objectives will align to the end user needs
- To assist with the proposals and budget management
- To get
involved in a range of ongoing activities that will assist in learning and
evolving the service design discipline
Education / Skills and Experience:
- A design related degree in CX/UX/Research/Design
- 2-3 years’ experience within service design in a commercial environment
- Experience of conducting and analysing User Research (interview scripts / conduction interviews / writing surveys / recruiting participants / trialling new concepts)
- Experience of creating customer journeys as well as service blueprints / service design assets
- Experience of facilitating or attending workshops
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience of creative design
- Experience of using InDesign/ Sketch / Figma / Miro etc
- Experience of working with digital products
- Experience of working within a team as well as being able to work independently
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritising tasks
- BONUS IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE: designing at a conceptual level / prototyping for new services and products produced for end users
- BONUS IF YOU EXPERIENCE: working with Product Designers to hand off all concepts for product design
