Due to growth, we have a new and exciting position for a mid-level Front End Web Developer to join a small team and work on some exciting projects within the Travel Industry,
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years + experience of working as a Front-End Developer within a company and have a solid portfolio / github to showcase their work.
Responsibilities:
- To improve both performance and efficiency within the customer journey through the online purchase funnel and to drive continuous improvement of user experience across all devices
- To translate UI /UX wireframes into actual code that will product high end visuals within the web applications
- To work closely with the UI UX Designer as well as the Back End Development team to bridge the gap between visual and technical implementation -in terms of both look and feel as well as the functionality of how it works
- To develop new user facing features
- To build reusable code and libraries for future use that will match consistency across all platforms and browsers
- To ensure the technical aspect and capability of ui ux design
- To assist the back-end developers with coding and any troubleshooting
- To promote best practise for front end development and to stay up to date with the latest tech
- To communicate with other departments
Experience / Qualifications:
- A computer science related degree
- Strong experience within a working environment of HTML and CSS
- Solid JavaScript experience (VanillaJS)
- Experience of optimising mobile or responsive websites
- 2-3 years commercial working experience
- Communicative and Collaborative
- Team player who can also work independently
- Able to work to deadlines with an obsessive attention to detail
- The desire to want to work and grow as part of the team
- Bonus if any php experience (although not essential)
