We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced UI/ Front End Developer to join a Government Architecture and Engineering Centre of Expertise to deliver focused, innovative solutions to a range of government projects.

The ideal candidate will be passionate and have a resourceful, forward thinking and committed attitude to join a like minded team of talented developers. 

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for hand on problem solving, translating business requirements into clean, intuitive experience
  • To be an expert in creating and crafting UI material based on research you have gathered and will use it to consult with various clients providing direction 
  • To utilise your expertise to inspire others and bring energy to new projects
  • Working across all things Ui from groundwork research through to rapid prototyping
  • To conduct Ui research for multi-platform projects, optimising both the user journey and product interactions
  • To be able to manage multiple projects from prototypes to launch in a fast paced environment
  • To be proactive in looking for opportunity to reuse and adhere to style guidelines and uniformity within and across all projects
  • To participate in project teams, collaborating between creative, tech and business teams
  • To both present and defend design deliverables to colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • To collaborate with all team members and promote design thinking and advocate design principles as well as best practise

Qualifications / skills and experience:

  • 3+ years exp of working as a front end developer / ui developer 
  • A portfolio of work samples to demonstrate your process
  • Solid experience with Javascript and Reactjs
  • Proven experience of understanding user needs for web content / tools and transactional services with some complex user journeys
  • Solid experience of introducing and establishing design thinking
  • Sketch and prototype in Html
  • Exp within an agile environment 
  • Knowledge of how to interpret user research to develop ideas
  • Ability to write content for UI 
  • Attend / facilitate workshops with both stakeholders and users
  • An understanding of project delivery methodologies 
  • Bonus if any exp with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Bonus if any exp with CI/CD workflows
