We have a fantastic opportunity for a mid level Front End Developer with 2-3 years commercial experience to join a start up department within a well established company.
The role will have a lot of future opportunity to develop as the client demand grows. There will be a lot of collaboration within the department teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To be responsible for the build of our client’s web applications from brief to designing and building the system that fits the client’s requirements best, then further developing this to continually improving the application.
- Front End Development across various devices, browsers and operating systems.
- Medium scale bespoke back end development where necessary including API integrations.
- To collaborate with the internal dev team regarding bugs and any issues where necessary.
- To lead on any client communication and gathering of assets for each platform.
- To work closely with client services to create any missing assets.
- To take the lead in planning timescales for future project.
- To be client facing and attend meetings when necessary.
- To occasionally visit sites for client training and troubleshooting.
- To work with the internal dev teams to maintain services and tools required by the platform to include software requirements and servers.
- Looking for solutions to help improve the platform.
- Aiming for a position of growth within the company.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Degree in computer science.
- 2-3 years commercial experience as a developer.
- Solid experience in HTML /CSS /SASS /JQUERY/ JAVASCRIPT / WORDPRESS / REACT.
- A solid understanding of advanced programming concepts.
- Good working knowledge of server environment and the software that runs with them.
- A strong interest in UX and Design.
- Ability to work alone and collaborate with the wider team.
- Ability to manage own time and work to deadlines.
- Able to be client facing and demo the system as and when required.
- Have a passion for development to create a market leading solution to the overall Customer Journey.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
