We have a new and exciting position for an experienced Innovation Manager to join a company working across high end corporate company projects for a Digital and Tech Innovation Consulting company.

This role will be hybrid however can only employ from Ireland and has no sponsorship therefore please only apply if you are in this locations.

The company develops digital products or ventures that address customer needs and help shape new strategic decisions and assess viability and feasibility of Innovative ideas with work comprising rapid ideation and validation of solution ideas and proposition design.

Working within a team, you will be passionate about innovation and digital product development and be able to work with clients to bring them through structured sprints and turn strategic ideas into credible board level investment propositions.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement an innovation strategy that aligns with clients goals and objectives.
  • To identify areas for innovation, setting targets and defining KPIs to measure project progress.
  • To design and manage the innovation process from idea generation to implementation and to establish clear methodologies and frameworks for collecting, evaluating, and selecting innovative ideas.
  • To implement systems and tools to track and monitor the progress of innovation projects.
  • To collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to include executives / heads of departments and cross functional teams.
  • To foster a culture of innovation and to gain support for innovation initiatives.
  • To facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and innovation events to encourage participation and idea sharing with the teams.
  • To stay up to date on industry trends / market dynamics and emerging technology.
  • To conduct research to identify potential opportunities for innovation and to assess the market viability and to monitor the competitors’ activities to benchmark the best practice in innovation management.
  • To identify and engage with external partners to include startups, industry experts, research institutions, and technology providers, to drive innovation.
  • To foster collaborative relationships and explore partnership opportunities to access new ideas, technologies, and resources.
  • To oversee the execution of innovation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and that they meet the defined objectives.
  • To coordinate cross-functional teams, allocate resources, and manage risks and dependencies.
  • To use project management tools and methodologies to drive project success.
  • To establish metrics and performance indicators to measure the number of ideas generated, success rate of implementation, and return on investment.
  • To use data insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous innovation.
  • To provide guidance and support in managing organisational change associated with innovation initiatives.
  • To help overcome resistance to change and foster a culture that embraces innovation, experimentation, and learning.
  • To stay at the forefront of innovation practices and thought leadership and to share insights, best practices, and success stories both internally and externally.
  • To contribute to industry events, conferences, and publications to position the organization as a leader in innovation.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience within Innovation Management or an Innovation Consultancy
  • Proven experience of client facing expertise.
  • A track record of driving and delivering innovation focused deliverables focused on new product development and proposition design.
  • Proven knowledge of key innovation practices such as Design Thinking & Lean Startup.
  • Expert facilitator of structured workshops with the ability to guide and context switch.
  • Experienced of managing relationships across all facets of an organisation from c suite / sales and product / IT.
  • Experienced in translating customer needs and insights to deliver executive level recommendations.
  • Experience of working closely with clients from different industries to make them feel confident in the processes and methodologies.
  • Systematic thinker with the ability to extract, learn and apply human centred design thinking techniques to solve problems in a creative and innovative way.
  • A general interest in technology innovation and the building and scaling of commercial businesses or new propositions.
  • The ability to work independently and actively manage competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Office365 Suite, Miro, and other digital tools used in innovation management.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Flexible and willing to travel on occasions with international clients.
